Art Auction Reveal

In mid February I posted about our elementary school’s annual fundraiser - a bull roast, which includes a silent auction.
I worked with the art teacher to have the students create square paper collages so each child's artwork would be highlighted on a 3" x 3" square of paper. For example, first grade used circles as their shape while fifth grade created stars. Each kid had one 3" x 3" square to interpret their shape. I just finished mounting and framing them and wanted to give you all a sneak peek. I love kid’s art!
While there are two framed pieces per grade, I am just showing one from each grade. They do look more amazing in person (because it’s tough photographing art without a glare from the windows). Anyway, enjoy these previews of future artists:
Kindergarten: rectangles

1st grade: circles

2nd grade: squares

3rd grade: organic shapes (no the chandelier isn't actually part of the art...sorry)

4th grade: hearts

5th grade: stars

If you’re local, come on by the Columbian Center in Severna Park, MD this Saturday  evening for some great fun!
